Inmate Bonds

How Do I Pay an inmate's bond?
Cash bonds can be posted as the Sheriff's Office Jail Lobby 24 hours a day or at the Lapeer County Courthouse. Credit and Debit cards are also accepted. All bonds must be paid through the kiosk located in the lobby. When paying bond at Lapeer County Jail, For assistance with the kiosk, please notify jail staff.
Can I use a Bonding Agency?
Surety Bonds may be posted by an agency approval by our courts, which is posted in the lobby of the Lapeer County Jail, in no way endorses any particular bond company and does not partake in any contract between defendant and the bonding company.
Why is the bond receipt not in my name?
Cash Bond receipts must always be in the name of the person being bonded, in compliance with state law.
